She "judged" an entry of 2 in a low entry rare breed. She was so clearly uninterested in judging that exhbitors were commenting on it. She barely touched the dogs during the exam. If she doesn't enjoy judging or does not enjoy judging certain breeds maybe she should not continue to do so. We decided not to stay for the Group. I will not bother her again by entering when she is judging.

She's really genuinely terrible. I have *tried* to like her, but she is SO openly political (and this is not a comment I make routinely). Yuck, yuck.
May 14, 20241Anonymous
Inconsistent. Looks at every face carefully to try to recognize who's in her ring, likes to award pros. Puts up odd choices sometimes, then offers strange reasons for her choices. Ignored poor movement in a breed that places enormous emphasis on movement according to the standard, and chose based on minor, irrelevant details (per her comments to exhibitors) that are not mentioned in the standard and have no bearing on correct movement. HUH?!
Jul 7, 20231Breeder-Owner-HandlerHounds
Dog examination's VERY quick, almost nonexistent... And today she put up the worst specimen in the ring although there were other way better choices including my owner handled entry that's number two in the breed (both breed and all-breed points). Doesn't make any sense if one doesn't take in the consideration the fact that a young professional handler who won and this judge share the same original breed. Hehehe. 8/23/2024 UPDATE. I gave this lady another chance. This time she was not able to find my group winning dog that currently is ranked #3 in the breed (was #1 last month) in a small entry of mediocre dogs. This time her examination included pulling the tail to the hock which makes no sense in my breed. She is hopeless, indeed! Mrs. Sullie will never get my entry again….

Don't let her nice & pleasant attitude fool you. She hasn't got a clue what's she's doing in a ring. The Standards mean absolutely nothing to this "judge".

Watched her doing Groups at a couple of shows. She glances at each dog coming into the ring, then looks intently at each exhibitor's face. In breed, will put up pet quality over good dogs. Does not pick for soundness, movement, or breed type.

One of the most pleasant judges to show to and as good as you can hope for in terms of judging. Does not appear political in the classes. She looks for a dog with good leg, balance, moderation, and movement. She gave me my first point my second time in the ring with a puppy, and put me up over professionally handled open dog. When judging a large entry at a specialty, she found good dogs that others missed.

very political, does not know how to spot any semblance of type in any breed I have exhibited to her. loves to speed through an assignment, chit chat with her friends, and consistently puts up some of the worst animals in the assignment

When judging a silhouette breed, one should, at the very least, take the time to LOOK at the silhouette. At no time in the 3 silhouette breeds I watched her judge did she take the time to look at/compare silhouettes. Next in importance in the breed is head/expression - never once did she put her hands on the dog's heads to feel planes, width etc. Her judging of these three breeds seemed to be based on setting a speed record, and she did loudly state, in several breeds, that she had a tight schedule to meet and didn't have time to wait on exhibitors. She awarded the only female who would not stand for exam, for a major. She awarded a dog who had placed 4th in 6 of the 7 shows a major in one breed. In another she awarded the single class dog a major crossover with three SEVERE faults as noted in the standard.

I have been watching her picks because of reviews not that keen on showing to her in the future if she just putting up handlers. She is very pleasant in the ring but will try one more time if she can see past who’s on the end of the lead and just pick dogs

Very pleasant to show to but... In our breed she only puts up red & white over any other colors. Dumped really nice tri color dogs to put up a red puppy that had a really bad underbite. I would only show to her again with a red & white.

Very pleasant to show to. Knew exactly what she was looking for and found it in a LARGE entry during the Eukaneuba/Royal Canin week. Used the dogs she liked and didn't care who was handling them. BOB to a very nice OH dog and BOS to a top pro-handled special. WB and WD to owner handlers.

Had fun in the ring even in the rain. Seemed to enjoy what she was doing and gave everyone equal attention. I will defiantly enter under her again when she comes around. Caution: Do not take a black PPP into her ring. She considers it a fault and will not put it up.

Neither my dog or bitch were rewarded at this show, but both were understandable. The male was "off" due to a stomach upset and the puppy bitch was just in the showring for the 2nd time. Still, the judge was kind and gentle to both and I will enter them under her another time

How this judge can put a back yard bred dog up poorly groomed with huge visable urine stains over two nice specials is beyond me. I'm sure the handler on the lead helped. A definite on my DNS.

Took the same pup back to Ms. Greendale-Paveza 5 months later after working with her to get her past her fright. Ms. Greendale- Paveza selected my pup for WB and then put her up over the 2 special bitches for Breed & a major. She didn't remember me. She's a real dog woman. She looked for movement and type, the overall picture.

Handler judge! She put up a crippled standard dachshund a handler was showing in Greenville SC in 2014
May 26, 20155Elaine SummerhillGreyhoundsExpert!
I mentioned to Mrs Greendale-Paveza that my puppy was frightened by something at the Albuquerque shows and she took great effort with her, slowly gaining her confidence to where she would stand for her during the exam and then take some bait from her hand. I will forever be grateful to her for taking that time & making that effort. No obvious preference for handlers over owners. She put up good dogs that were different in style than mine, a bit larger in overall size, but good movers.

Mrs. Greendale-Paveza was excellent with our hounds and gave each a thorough examine. Likes movement and structure over faces. Would show to her again.

She knows a good hound.

handler judge

As a dachshund breeder judge, she knows a good hound and will find the best in the entries. Not opposed to color/pattern, but the dog needs to be stable tempered, solid on the table and a good mover. I'll always give her an entry as I value her opinion.

Pleasant enough but not sure what she is looking for anymore. I used to have her down for a being a dapple judge but the last couple times she has completely dumped anything of color outside of a red. I have been told that she puts up her friends and at the last show that was proven to me. Also made some very unpleasant comments to a newbie about her wardrobe stating "she saw more than she cared to and if she had been a man judge it would be very inappropriate". This newbie is in her 60's and it was summer and she had a loose fitting light top on so when she bent over you may have seen down her shirt but seriously, how many people showing dogs where suits 2-3 sizes to small and their chests are bursting out or even shirts purposely loose to over a view and even skirts so short you can tell whether they have underwear on without them bending over. Not appropriate thing to say to a newbie in my opinion.

Unlikey to put up OH for breed
Mar 21, 20124anonymousstd schnauzer
This judge put my special up for Best of Breed over 2 well known handlers. We've never shown to this judge B4.
Dec 19, 20112cmsheltie
She really didn't go over the dogs well but the bitch she put up was nice....handler on leash.
Aug 27, 20115Dachshund
She is very nice in the ring and kind to the dogs. Put up a bitch handled by owner over clearly more politic choices. Would definitely show again

Did not know we were in the ring! Will not waste money nor time AND gas money on this judge,
Aug 14, 2010annonherding
i withdrew my entry because of this judge change. no point in showing to someone that you know isn't going to judge the dog.
Feb 20, 20105anonyCollies
The only chance an owner/handler has is if there is no (professional) handlers there...
Nov 6, 20094Linda ChilsonShetland Sheepdog
Watched her judge a large entry of Aussies before our breed. She did a good job of placing the best moving entries and was very nice to all the handlers. I don't know who the handlers are in that breed, but she put up those entries I would have chosen for structure and movement.
Sep 21, 20092anonymousCollies
While she does not know breed type - she is certainly aware of who brings the most dogs and who some people are. It was obvious that all of her winners were handled by the people she had conversations with in the ring while going over the dogs. Has had no experience in breeding this breed = and it most definately shows. Spends a lot of time moving dogs, but doesn't generally put up the best mover either. Should spend more time studying breeds before judging them.

just showed to this judge and have to agree with others on this list that Ms Paveza is extremely political. Would not waste my money showing to her again.
Dec 25, 20081anonherding
Doesnt judge dogs, puts up handlers/friends.
Jul 19, 20082AndreaSiberian, PONExpert!
Blatantly political! Consistently puts up handler/friends. On my DNS list.
Jul 9, 2008WilliamIrish Wolfhound
Did a good job of separating 3 very close dogs. (no handlers in ring) Even though I did not win I was satisfied. At my request she took the time to critique my dog and my handling privately - very much appreciated.
Jun 15, 20081AnonymousHerding
Doesn't even notice the dogs, just picks handlers. Saw her put up a limping dog with a big handler for BOB
Mar 14, 20082anonymousSiberian Husky
Puts up Handlers and Friends.
Feb 20, 2007anonymousBelgians
used to be decent and judge the dogs -- can still do it from time to time, but not as consistant for type (more for handlers) than she used to be.
Feb 15, 2007AnonymousSiberian Husky
Very political looks at the wrong end of the lead.
Jan 22, 20075Anonymous
This judge is pleasant, recognizes correct movement and Collie head.
