On the days I have seen her judge, she seemed to prefer in Collies a dog that could move out well and were perhaps a little lower to the ground than some who prefer a larger dog with daylight underneath. She was consistent and I would enter under again if I had a smaller well moving dog.

I love to show to her. She's kind and thorough with the dogs. She does have a tendency to put up who she knows, but she does know a good dog and will reward it. I will miss her now that she's retired.

One of the all arounders who was grandfathered in on many breeds and does not know the standard very well. Goes with faces.

Sadly, I think Mrs. Fournier is starting to lose it in the ring. Today she judged a rather small entry of Swissies (1-3-2-1) and was completely confused when she had all of 5 dogs in the breed ring. First, she didn't want to go over the bitch special because she thought it was the WB (same person handled the WB, but really -- with only five in the ring, she should have known that was a special). I had the WD, a 12 month old puppy who I knew she would like and she raved about him when she judged him in his class. After she finally did go over and move the bitch special, she looked at me and my dog like "okay now who are you" ...so I told her he was the WD. Then she said to me, "well who is the WB?" And I responded, "the one right behind me?" C'mon, Jean...there are only five dogs in there, keep it straight! She took an inordinate amount of time trying to sort out those five dogs. Finally she pulled a dog special out front (one she'd recently given a group 1 too, so we were shocked it took her this long to find him), she pulled my WD up behind him in the BOW position and then the bitch special behind me. Then sent us around the ring, at which point her head appeared to explode and she completely forgot what she was doing. She didn't stop us or award anyone, so we took another lap...finally she pointed to the dog up front for breed, then paused, looked to the end of the line as we continued to circle, gave the bitch BOW, gave the bitch special BOS and then she tried to give my class dog SEL dog...over the other dog special. I set her straight on that one, but it's like she had sorted all the dogs out and then completely forgot where she had put them and why, and who was who. So disappointing. I will not waste another entry on someone I used to respect as a sharp, knowledgeable dog woman. It's sad to see judges getting old, but you get to a point when it's time to hang up your judging shoes.

Although, she has a pleasant demeanor and consistent ring procedures from show to show. I was disappointed in her selections, not consistent either time I showed to her with one exception. The face on the other end of the lead. I liked showing to her, so I probable will again depending on the location.

Likes a sound, showy pom, does not need to have a cute face. Has a soft spot for blacks. Judged the National and seemed to prefer taller, leggier dogs, that moved well with more moderate (not cute-sy) head type, except in blacks she would pick them even if they were small, shorter legged, and cute. I do find she is usually consistent in her judging though. She recently awarded a son of her National BISS his 3rd major win to complete his championship (another black, this one bigger than his sire).

When judging her breed (siberians)will put up anything on her hanlder friends regardless of what other great dogs are present. Spend the money hire a handler. Otherwise do not bother to enter.

Have had the same bitch under this judge several times. Twice with me on her. Once in the ring with one of her judge friends and she gave me the points. Second time with handler and class of 8, I took second but she made it a point to say to the handler and myself that these two bitches could go in the opposite order on any given day. Last time she had this bitch I had a handler on her and she went WB/BOW. I like this judge, she is always pleasant and I do not think that she favors handlers but do think that she has the perfect boxer in her mind and looks for that. My bitch is a lovely dark brindle with a beautiful head and shoulders.

Mrs. Fournier is looking for nice headpieces in our boxers... and rightfully so. Glad to see a judge who pays attention to heads in a head breed. Good judge. Have shown to her a few times. Always makes sound picks

Ms. Fournier is a wonderful judge to show under if you need to hire a handler to put on a dog that can't win on its own merits. Be forewarned that you can feel you are acting a bit rude by being in the ring expecting to be judged as it interrupts Ms. Fournier's conversations in the ring with her handler friends. She can find a good one if no handler buddy is present. If you can afford a handler, I highly recommend you use one on your entry when showing under this judge.

lol, she must have been having a bad day when i showed to her. it was very hot and she wouldn't let us stand int he shade but made us all stand in the blazing sun. when it came time for bob she acted like she had no idea who the dog was that she put up. please, she was have a major conversation about breeding to the handler while the rest of us were waiting for her to go over the rest of the dogs. she has gotten political like so many judges have. perhaps these judges just want to judge prof handlers only. seems like that's what it's coming to.

Nice ring procedure. Love to see a judge that will give the breed win to a solid female over the male. Very gentle with puppies.
Jan 7, 20101anonymousPolish Lowland Sheepdog
likes puppies, looks at the catalog for kennel name she knows and/or puts up faces she knows

Her original breed is Siberians. She wants nice movement and a solid topline. Have watched her over and over and over do the exact same thing. She will put up the dog she likes with good movement and a strong solid topline.

Wicketed a 7 month old puppy bitch who was more than an inch under the DQ mark. Put up the class dog and bitch for BOB/BOS over many nice specials. Did not recognize an incorrect topline/tail set and rewarded a major fault with points in both sexes. At least she was consistent? Although pleasant and kind to the dogs, she's on my DNS list even if in the middle of a large circuit.

clueless, terrible judge. Needs to READ the standards of the dogs she "judges."
Jul 27, 2009anonmastiff
Very pleasant - however don't bother to stack your dog - hardly looked at line-up, all movement. Not entirely appropriate criteria in mastiffs IMHO. However she is very nice, put puppies and exhibitors at ease. Also handled a guy who missed his class with aplomb. Put up very nice-moving (OC !) class dog over a special for a major win.

Very professional and pleasant, seems to enjoy judging. Knows breed type in shelties. Appreciates correct head detail. Judges dogs, not people. I've won and lost under her, but could always follow what she did and why.

I have shown to her many times. My very first show experience with her, I put an young dog and adult handler team together into the ring. She told us the puppy was Fat and said to the adult handler to go to a handling class. Killed my helper from wanting to ever show again. The next time I went to see her. I had actually thought I would never show to her again but she had our breed in the middle of a big cluster so we entered. I took the puppy back in I had trimmed his weight down and showed him to her exactly as she asked me to. She gave us WD, WB, BOS BOB that day. ( in more than one breed). The entries were small and the dogs were deserving. She then came by my set up area later and talked to me about the dogs and told me what she really liked and made the whole experience with her fantastic. I have since shown to her 4 more times and have gotten dumped and won. She knows what she is looking for and will be more than willing to tell you what she likes and dislikes.

She is always pleasant to show to. Will find and reward a good moving dog and will put up owner handlers over the pros in both the classes and breed. She will also point deserving puppies.
Jun 30, 20084anonymousGolden Retrievers
I haven't shown to her, but did ring steward for her and she really does have good reasons for what she does, at least for Goldens. She put up a class dog for BOB over the specials because she thought he had the best type.
May 10, 20083Blair BarrettBoston Terrier
She's very pleasant and nice in the ring. Good with puppies but she will not award points to them.
May 7, 20085monestaMaltese
Really nice to show to. Put up what she liked. Although I didn't win under her, I would definitely show to again.
Apr 27, 20083Bichons Frises
Gave handler of deeply stained most ordinary bitch 3 pt. major on 1st day of 3 day show. The second 2 days, same bitch got 3rd in class of 3 both days. Apparently biased towards those she knows???

Sad to say she is giving handlers the points and not looking at the dogs. Guess that makes it safe for her.

One of the top judges. Very knowledgeable lady. Some might say she is political, but that could be unfair. She seems to like a certain type and is loyal to certain dogs. Maybe she stresses discrete points over some overall ones in importance. I would recommend her as I feel you get a quality decision at all levels. A lovely person who is a pleasure to show to always. 8/5/2008 Has become one of the top judges in our breed and I know thats not limited to this one breed by others comments of her judging. We appreciate all her hard work and dedication.

Does not know our breed standard. Likes small dogs and is definitely political.

I always enjoy showing to her. She is always pleasant and is wonderful with the dogs. I wouldn't hesitate taking her a puppy. She likes very pretty typey dogs and a breathtaking side gait is very important to her. She likes lift and lots of hackney in Min Pins.
Aug 15, 20072anonymousDobes
Only showing to her once I felt she was very political. At times she wasn't even watching dogs move that she asked to be move one at a time.
Jul 21, 2007Southern Chic DalmatDalmatians
Loves side movement. Soft hands with puppies. Would show to her again.
Jul 4, 20075SunclipseTibetan Terriers
Loves side gait, can be political. Did a fine job at the TTCA National Specialty in May/June.
Jun 14, 20073anonymousBulldog
Bulldog Judge, knows the standard. I've done good under her and been dumped. I would show her to again with no problems.
Apr 19, 20074Kwala-t ChowsChows & Poms
Have seen her judge both dogs & people. Dogs in the chow ring and people in the pom ring. But she can find the best mover when she wants to.
