Always puts up the best dog regardless of who the handler is. Will award BBE dogs

mr briley gave my dog a 3 point major over a year ago- he was able to find him again as a special in a field of 4 specials including a BISS dog and award him the breed- he knows what he wants

Seemed confused in the ring. Only one class dog entered. Saturday judge gave the one class dog the cross over for the points. This judge on the Sunday show chose not to give the cross over point nor give the Special a select point. He will be on my DNS List.

Had difficulty following his choices. Seemed to judge toys like they were Doberman-his breed. Hacking movement is not acceptable in Poms and that is what he put up. DNS list.

Any time a professional handler and the judge talk to each other in the ring, you might as well turn in your number - YOU are not going to win. Handler oriented? You bet!

Not sure what he was looking for. Withheld Select Bitch for a very nice harl Ch bitch (only bitch special)

pleasant & thorough, but very confusing ring procedure - has you line up for exam on the diagonal mat during the previous dogs down and back. Didnt make his instructions very clear. Seemed thorough & engaged in judging.

Did a great job at SummerFest! Not political, took his time, and really looked at each of his entries. I really likerd him!

Since my breed isnt one that is mostly handler oriented, Mr Briley does a great job judging them, You can tell he likes the breed, and enjoys what he is doing

Definitely handler oriented. Does not demonstrate an ability to apply the breed standard to his evaluations. I was not impressed by him as a handler 20 years ago, and I am equally unimpressed by his judging ability today.
