Very disappointed in this judge. Built a major in our breed and she asked the first exhibitor in the ring "What is the correct bite" and then "What is the correct height and weight for this breed?"
When I entered the bred by class and went to go around she turned her back on me and never watched me. I saw this at the first turn pulled up and walked the rest of the way. Please know this is not sour grapes the other bitch in the ring she turned to look at was mine and I won the major with what I was showing. However I would not enter under this judge again. |

Observed Ms Salyers Anderson judging big entry of Xolos in York, PA. She had god ring procedure, nice, calm around dogs, patient with green dogs and takes her time. It was look like she more appreciated standard Xolo vs Intermediate type and wanted dog to present himself well to be worthy a placement. |

This judge pick the right dog and from the bad behavior from the other handlers it was the right dog , You could hear them complain as they left the ring, you could tell they were in a group ( let me win this time and your dog can win next time ) A AKC rep was standing there and she didn't do a thing , they disrespected the judge, Where did good sportsman's ship go ? |

Some of the worst judging on the breeds I have seen in a long time. No idea what she was looking for, but let's just say on the 4th day of judging in Rapid City, SD she choose none of the other winners for the weekend. Never showing to her again!! |

Despite numerous poor reviews, I gave this judge a shot. I should have saved my time and money. Not only does she need to go back and re-read her breed standards, as well as find a mentor in the breeds she's wanting to judge, she needs to learn how to run her ring properly rather than making snide comments/excuses to exhibitors. She made comments in a good number of classes asking "where are their tails?" and then turned around and gave WD AND the BREED (OVER A SPECIAL) to a dog that did not use his tail and was mediocre at best. I saw it coming when she was chatting up the handler during the table exam. She also called for the 2nd place winner to return for reserve, and then as the handler was walking back into the ring with the dog turned and gave Reserve to the other exhibitor already in the ring. The steward called the number once, there was not a big delay or hold up. She CHOSE to not give the 2nd place winner called back in any consideration. The dog hadn't even been set back on the ground again yet, the handler was literally walking thru the gate. NEVER again will I give this woman an entry, and should have (in hindsight) gone to the rep considering her performance. Rarely do I even leave comment regarding judges, but this one really needs to get her act together. More concerning to me than her choices was her horrible behavior. |

We had not shown to this judge before and i was a bit concerned based on some of the reviews i had read. But i was delighted to find out that none of them really bore any resemblance to the experience we had. She was timely, easy to understand, clear instructions, and very fair with assessments. She did not do a very detailed examination of the dogs, and that would be what i would fault her for the most. In my breed, she is very much about topline, preferring the same kind of topline that we do, so obviously we did well. In other breeds, that i observed, she was very similar, and appeared to look for dogs that were good on the go around, both movement wise and structure wise. Full Disclosure: We were BOB, BOS and Select, but we were also the only 3 entered. We also were awarded at Group 4 in her ring with our Veteran. I did not see much in the way of politics in play, as she awarded and selected equal numbers of OH, and Pros. |

Ms Anderson needs to back and read the standard. Ribbons should have been withheld for class dogs in both varieties. In smooths, she gave breed to a very, very tiny class dog whose body was out of proportion to it's size. Too long of body, too short of legs, high in the rear but had a cute face. Breed should have gone to either the male special or WB, both were more correct to the standard. In longs, she lacked consistence in her selections. I couldn't figure out what she was looking for. |

Sadly, I concur with all the comments here re: Ms. Anderson's knowledge of Working breeds. I found her to be pleasant enough, but would not go out of my way to show to her again. Takes care of the handlers, doesn't know correct shoulders/fronts in my breed, or croups and rears for that matter. |

She comes from min pins and needs to learn proper working movement. She rewarded a dog at the working group level that does not fit the standard of his breed. This full grown male is the size of a teenage bitch.
Her ring procedure at the group level was awkward at best, and seemed to get lost when making a "cut." |

Needs to study her standard again. Or at least read it. Got lost judging in a 2 dog class! Didnot judge according to the standard. DNS. |

Showed to her before and found her to be pleasant, though her choices were not the best. This time around, she was just awful. Picked the worst of 5 specials. I witnessed at least 3 dogs come out of the ring scared to death, which I can't explain since she wasn't particularly heavy handed. Rude to exhibitors! Made several condescending comments to me the entire time I had my very new to the show ring puppy, and her tail wasn't up as soon as we walked in the. Went so far as to ask "if I wanted to try to take her around". |

Not qualified to judge working dogs, will put up a goat provided the right handler is on it. Save your money! |

IMHO, she is a complete idiot!!
she is most definately on my DNS list and if she was the last judge for dog shows, I'd quit showing all together and for this reason first, in min pins if it isnt RED, it isnt winning, (and she use to have this breed). That in itself shows how uneducated she is. We pay good $$ to show our dogs, spend it under someone else!! |

this judge needs to be educated on our breed standard. She put up a young class bitch, giving it a 5 point major AND BOS (over better class bitches and a nice special)...the AKC rep was watching and wrote her up for her 'choices'. DNS. |

She "is" very pleasant, However...her judging of these breeds is sad at least. Unfortunately, she is judging the Min Pin National Specialty show and oddly enough..not one member of the hosting club voted for her, in fact, I have yet to find anyone that voted for her. She judged in spokane and to say her judging sucked was an understament and not just in these breeds. She refused to use a powderfuff crested, she excused herself from judging MP's, she excused 3 yorkies from the ring for reducules reasons. She shouldnt even be allowed to judge ANY breeds until she retakes ALL test for every breed she has.

This woman couldn't find a correct moving IG if her life depended on it. She has very little knowledge of the IG standard and needs to be withdrawn from judging the IG in the future. Definitely a never show again judge. THE worse "judge" I've ever shown under! Is there a LOWER ranking than "1"? This "judge" should receive it!!! |

I felt she gave each dog a fair look. She tends to prefer larger males and medium sized bitches, although she did pick a smaller male in open class so it's not an overriding factor. She will overlook misbehavior in puppies at least in classes and will award points to puppies. |

IMO a very fair judge. Will bring you back to the table to recheck her thoughts before her final decision. Will put up a young dog. Very pleasant to show to and I agree that "she enjoys what she is doing and the dogs really respond to that in a positive manner" As well as I believe she makes sure she knows the standards. |

She seems to be up on her breed standards. I would say she is impartial and really judges the dogs. I've seen her use a plainer dog in favor of good structure and movement. I think she is very pleasant to show to and enjoys what she is doing and the dogs really respond to that in a positive manner. |
