he is very business-like, runs an efficient ring, but sometimes he just used hand signals without speaking and some exhibitors got confused about what he wanted them to do. Have no idea what he was looking for.

Warren is a very fair and thorough judge. He did not rush his decisions but gave every dog a good look.

He clearly cares about handlers and fronts! One he put up had a overdone front but could barely move shown by big handler, yet he had a few others who were much better overall in class. his Breed dog was the same--passed over 2 other dogs with great rears for dog who was not as good. DNS list after today.

Mr Hudson is truly clueless. And not just because I lost under him. He has no "type" that he likes, he is all over the board and after showing to him numerous times, I could still not tell you what he is looking for besides a particular person in our breed. Wont waste my time or money again

Handler judge all the way.

If he does not have a handler to choose then he can make some good choices. Put a handler in the ring and all bets are off. His Boston ring was full of handlers that did not even make the cut the other days. Although he did put my male up, I felt like it was luck more than anything.

Really looked at the dogs in his ring and considered each of them fairly. How refreshing to have a judge actually look at the dogs. Did not appear to be political.

years ago he took so long just to judge BPIB, it was obvious he did not know the breed. Showed to him again recently on a Specialty weekend thinking he might have learned but kicked myself...will not show to him again. Takes forever and STILL does not know what he is supposed to be looking for.

I agree with Terry R., I was hugely disappointed in his judging in Montana and he has been added to my DNS list. He was so inconsistant in his choicesand it was SOOO obvious when he made them. Will not wast mine or my clients time or money on him again.

The longer he judges and the more assignments he gets the less consistent he becomes and the more I catch him scanning the wrong end of the lead for "the" faces. He likes that Open Class!! |
