I showed my gangly 8-month puppy to Judge Robbins in December and felt a little like I was walking a a tiny vampire past a mirror...invisible. On the upside, when we exited the ring, he did say, "thank you for showing," so I guess we appeared out of the ether on our way out the door. LOL Would I show to him again? Sure, I'd give it another try once my dog is in full bloom. Would I show him another puppy? Not unless it looks like a stuffed child's toy. |

I would say if you don’t have a solid color dog, don’t bother with this judge. He doesn’t seem to like bone or substance either. A DNS for me |

Pleasant to show too, gentle on the ramp, handler show bite, and watches all the time. dealt w/over crowded ring by relaxing the handlers to one side. Knows the std, better structure leads to better movement. Prefers movement front & rear over visible structure. |

Showed to him in Denton TX, we showed him three bitches and he found the best one, which made cut for the group. |

Was pleasant to show to, but I am underwhelmed at his ability to judge without looking at the wrong end of the lead. |

Mr Robbins does well in Bostons but he does not seem to enjoy what he does. It is too bad because he can make some good choices when handlers are not in the ring. |

Mr Robbins can be very political, but luckily my breed isnt one that is usually a handler breed. He does a decent job at breed level, but unless you have a well known handler on your dog dont bother with group |

Did a fabulous job judging papillons!! Found the right dog, regardless of size. Picked a beautiful male for BOW I have admired since his first show. He is smaller, but such breed type with the most beautiful head I have seen. His BOB was on the larger side, but so sound, and breed type. His BOS was very sound and breed type with a nice symetrical blaze, but with a lot of color on her body. Glad he did not let that influence judging as it is without importance in the standard. I would rather see a sound, typey pap. with color be put up over one with more white, but not sound or type. Finally, a judge who can really judge papillons. |

Mr. Robbins doesn't seem to care about movement, since his choice for breed had to be strung up to make it around the ring. Check the judges record in the breed, and you will see that he rewards a certain circle of friends and handlers. |

Mr. Robbins is a good one to go to with a puppy or untrained newbie. He is kind, considerate and will give ALL a chance. More people need to judge like he does! Worth going back to! |

An easy judge to show too and he is gentle with the dogs. However, he judges Silkys like Yorkies. Puts up Silkys with too much coat. The breed standard makes it clear that a coat that approaches the floor is not a virtue. Also, a coat that has been scissored to keep it it off the floor should be treated the same. Natural coat length is a defining "type" characteristic for Silkys. |

Do not show to him if your bitch is in season. If you are a Texas handler you have it made. |
