Watched this man judge Great Danes, what a rude man! A good sized special ring, only looked at faces. Literally turned his back multiple times on a lovely top 20 harlequin bitch who was owner handled. Not only on her but all of the color in the ring. Why would anyone pay to show to him?

I watch the Great Danes at Howard Co. Nov. 27. There were about 10 specials in the ring. He hurry threw that part of the entry so quickly. I know he did not examine those dogs. He went down the line and looked. At one point he had no idea what to do with that many dogs. It was ridiculous. handlers in the ring did not know were to put their dogs. I was close enough that he said to a hanlder you are breed. That handler di not evenknow were to set his dog up. As far as his picks. Who knows. The breed bitch has won a lot. She is diffently not a well balanced bitch. Her head is to small for her body. The select dog was Ok but No chest straight. There was too many much nicer dogs that he just did not look at and evaluate. AKC wonders why entries have gone down. Lack of respect for the dogs owner handlers in the ring. Know body cares about the quality. It is who is on the end of the leash. To many dog winning for all the wrong reasons.

3/2018 This time the judge articulated his reason for putting up a golden special. - She was the only one with the correct leg, which is a problem in the breed. He was exactly right in recognizing a problem and rewarding away from it. Maybe he has read these reviews and taken steps to correct the handler bias. Will try him again and see. This judge really isn't interested in judging his class breeds. He can hardly be troubled to observe them as they move or go over them when stacked. Who are you, anyway? to expect him to give you thirty dollars worth of his time.

Judged the last day of cluster after BRT Nationals. While he acknowledged a disqualifying bad bite in an exhibit, he failed to DQ. (Mrs. Anshelm two days earlier had awarded this dog with DQ bite a Reserve and failed to acknowledge or act on DQ fault.)Perhaps he was trying to hold points for other exhibits. I think priority must go to DQing a dog with a bad bite or any disqualifying fault rather than holding points.

In our breed seems to prefer maturity and coat over structure.

Even tho I won in class, I was disappointed in his judging when judging the breed ring. Professional handler was in the ring talking with him as he was going over the dog and of course the handler won. Very unprofessional on the judge and the handlers' actions. There were several nice specials (5) in the line up but he did not see any of them.

Able to recognize and reward the finer points of breed type (over flashy side gait). Didn't seem to matter who was showing the dogs.

I was watching him at the latest show and he is absolutely on my DNS list. 3 professional handlers gave their specials(boxer, rottie, and dobbie) to another professional handler that always wins under him. All three were watching ringside, there was no conflict in the rings. Of course that handler took all breeds. This was beyond obvious and unprofessional.

I've always liked his judging. he is one of the few left who appreciates true hungarian style of our breed, including a natural wavy coat, leg under the dog and wedge head. update: well, he has turned into a generic political judge :(

I am putting together a fund to buy him "Dog Steps"--The worst judging I have seen in a very long time. He put up a class dog that was actually crippled, not just poor moving, seriously. There was no way to tell what he was looking for, dumped a great dog who already has 3 majors to a pet quality dog. YIKES, he is on my DO NOT SHOW TO LIST!

I heard he is extremely knowledgable and knows his stuff. I have been looking for him and haven't been able to show to him yet. I heard he will put up the better dog no matter what. Update**. Have since had the opportunity to watch his judging and show to him. I have noticed that he can be political. Not just in my breed.

He was provisional in my breed and judged the weekend of Montgomery County in Pennsylvania, I think there were approximately 30 specials and I believe he tried to judge the dogs, he was nice, and pulled 2 out (bitch specials) sent them around and came back and pulled out mine and sent me around with one of the others, when he was doing the breed, he doesn't know me and I don't think he knew the other lady, but wound up giving mine BOS that day, she had done the same the day before under another provisional judge. She is a sound, good moving bitch, the only special that did something more than once in that 4 day period. Now, he did not use my beautiful puppy bitch in his placements that day, the only day that happened in a big class, I think he could have a "style" that he prefers as a Giant Schnauzer breeder, but I will show to him again; he appeared to want to do the right thing with all those breeders watching

Seems to truly appreciate the breed. Knows proper type. Is very thorough in his exam, and watches the dogs movement closely. Takes his time. Very pleasant to show to.

Likes soundness and proper type. May be influenced by who is handling in some situations.

Put a class bitch up for breed over specials. Looked at the dogs, not the handlers.

Appeared to judge the dogs, not the handlers. Put up a natural eared entry for the points.

Does an okay job in juniors

Used to be a pretty good judge but the last few times I have shown to him - he was too busy looking up the lead and not at the dog
