Observed him at a recent show. Chose the correct winners in my opinion.
Seemed gentle with evaluations. |

Good judge. Fair, not prone to pick handlers or owner handlers, best dog. Movement is key with him with type. |

We didn't win under him, but his choices were understandable. Good, clear ring procedure, pleasant and easy to understand. I'll give him another try. Seems to prefer Blk/Tan dachshunds |

Good experience. We had entry of 15 dogs with majors in both - class dogs and bitches. Mr. Reynolds had very good eye on dogs, was pleasant with exhibitors and to my opinion did very good job. Would show to him again if I have worthy specimen. |

I showed to him this past weekend and was very pleased. Gentle with dogs and pleasant to exhibitors. I was the only breed entry with my 14-month-old special, and I knew she wasn't ready to be competitive in a strong group, so I asked him for feedback after breed judging. He appeared happy to comply, talked with me at length about my girl. Good experience. |

Either (1) was not familiar with the Breed Standard or (2) made his selection based upon the handler and/or the owner(s) of the dog. |

I felt like this judge didn't look up the lead. I am a nobody, and have never shown to him. He put my girl up over very nice specials for BOB to finish her CH. I felt like he really liked her and chose to reward her over handlers.. |

Yes the if you have a red be sure to show under him, but he did a fair job , I didn't notice he handler thing , |

Unless you have a red or a big name professional handler forget it. Each time I have seen his end line up it is filled with faces and reds. Chose awful sway back puppies for a major and did a complete 180 for the bitches. |

I've shown to this judge a couple of times & is the last time. He is gentle with the dogs but looks at the wrong end of the lead

Was very happy to show to this man-he was extremely professional and, in high heat, appeared hard working and dog focused all day. We had a small, but high quality entry and he took a lot of time in both individual exams, multiple go-arounds and even front stacking. I heard many people ahead of time saying he was a very good judge, including a couple of professional handlers and others commenting on what I observed-you feel like you are really getting your money's worth and, at least in the breed ring, he seems oblivious to who is handling the dog. |

Another judge to add to my DNS list. Unless you have a dog that will not move a muscle on the table exam, save your entry fee. He was friendly with the pro handlers and curt with owners. |

Extremely pleased with this judge. He went over all of the dogs thoroughly and equally. He seems to have a sharp eye for great movement and is very pleasant in the ring. I will show under him again. Maybe next time he will pick my dog! |

Very disappointing, seen him twice recently once at our specialty. Listened to many complaints (even from winners), about his lack of consistency and attention to each exhibit (not opening the dogs mouth to check bit, multiple times, not paying attention to down & back). Selections were good. Personality is very congenial and you must pay attention to hear his directions. |

Very pleasant good judge. Has a good understanding of our breed. Likes good movement. He does look a little at who is holding the end of the lead is the only reason why I am giving him a 4. |

Very gentle and patient with the dogs. Soundness and movement were just as important as type in his selections. It's refreshing to see a judge base his placements according to the breed standards and not who is at the other end of the lead. |

Doesn't consider temperament to be as important as other traits, pretty small bitch won her class that could hardly walk straight and never raised her tail from under her belly, won't look at the judge or stay still unless held. Thankfully he didn't place her for points! There were two other nice entries in the class, but ..... To put it mildly, I was disappointed! |

Found him to be a very fair judge. He awarded me BOW at the Canadian National once over several better known Canadians, and was very consistent as my dog was of similar breeding to many of his choices despite my being an American. Showed to him later in the states. He picked a pretty, small, Open dog in good coat for WD. He will consider a puppy in puppy coat but they have to show well enough to deserve it. Didn't seem to be paying attention to faces in the ring, and gave BOB to a bitch special over 5 male specials, and BOW to a puppy bitch out of BBE as well. Was a major entry in bitches. |

I disagree with political comments. He was fair, fun and put up many amateur handlers over professional. He was fair, consistent and very kind. |

I have not shown to Judge Reynolds in a few years...was an awesome judge turned handler judge...HUGE disappointment. Eye rolling appeared very blatant to newcomers... poor form |

I just don't think judges should hang out w/pro handlers & have lengthy private discussions with them, which he did at the Nashville cluster. Appearance of impropriety? |

showed over summer - put up handler's dogs - spectators from ringside were shocked -handler's dog would not walk and had no top line...definitely judges from the north. |

He did a nice job, was pleasant and very good with the dogs. I was truly impressed with the fact that he worked VERY hard to give my special an opportunity to show himself--unfortunately, my boy was way more interested in the luscious smells on the carpet! I will show to him again. |

Would show to Mr. Reynolds again. He was kind, gentle, pleasant and seemed quite consistent. It appeared that put up very good representatives of the breed. My entry did not win the points but I felt he gave everyone the same chance. It seemed that he liked a very well presented dog, groomed well in addition to style and substance. |

Sorry, guys, I thought he was very political. I won WB and BOS on Saturday under a very respected judge over the handler. On Sunday, all 4 of the handler's dogs won everything, even reserve, when they rarely even had 4 feet on the floor. You're telling me out of 14 dogs, only she had anything good? She was the only handler, the rest were owners. Very disappointed in him! |

I'll agree with everyones previous comments. Mr. Reynolds is always a pleasure to show to; win or lose. I recently showed a 6 month old puppy to him who was extremely naughty :) He took his time, and more importantly, gave me the time I needed to settle her down. Will go out of my way to show to him |

I have won under this man and I have lost under this man, but both ways it was a good experience. He is very very nice and polite and great with puppies. I agree with Terry R in that he wants SOUND. Moderate movement with a "very pretty headpiece" |

I really enjoy showing to him and win or loose it is such a pleasant experience. He has great hands and demeanor with dogs and a great sense of humor and wonderful attitude with the exhibitors. He wants a well presented dog that commands the ring and demands his attention. He looks for a sound dog that moves freely and effortlessly around the ring. He does not discount a dog at the upper end of standard if it has the qualities he seeks. |
