Will not show under again. Shows zero interest in breeds he’s unfamiliar with and looks at the wrong side of the lead. Gives handlers he knows the wins. Looks at movement 1/4 of the way around in breed and groups unless you have super low entries or only on in breed. Wouldn’t say he’s consistent but average with his picks

This judge was easily swayed by handler clothing - google what to wear/not wear in Thailand for ideas

shows little interest in breeds he's unfamiliar with. When judging low number breeds, take a moment to read the standard rather than just being dismissive and in a hurry.

I showed to him 5 years ago and enjoyed showing to him just as much this time. He is still very polite, friendly, happy in the ring, professional, and give clear ring instructions as well as makes sure every dog gets the same opportunity for evaluation, including telling other handlers in the ring to allow enough space for each dog. His awards were consistent (smooshy-faced, large, round eyes, level toplines, great expression). BOB went to a lovely, flashy, brindle bitch shown by a pro. She is a little long in body, but just a smidge and she was "on". WD/BOW/BOS/BOBNOHS went to my black & white boy from the BBE class to finish his championship (finished in 5 weekends with 4 majors going BOB and BOS over specials before). WB went to a bitch (pro-handled) from the 12-18 mo class. She also had a smooshy face with large eyes. He did not give the crossover major to the bitch, but he is from Thailand, so I am not sure if he even takes that into consideration or even knew it was a major in dogs. He was a pleasure to show to and even if my boy had not won, I would still have enjoyed his judging. He is consistent from 5 years ago, so it is evident what he likes to see in a Boston.

Second time showing to this judge. Didn't really like him the first time as I felt he didn't 'get' our breed. Very thorough exam and checked for all the right things. Efficient, pleasant, but professional, and seems to understand cockers better now. Our breed is pretty much owner/breeder/handled so can't comment on his politics.

Very nice in the ring, a little heavy handed, quiet voice and pleasant to show too. Paid attention until about 1/2 way around on all exhibits, treated each the same as far as I could see. Owner handlers were prefered that day.

Judge was polite, professional and clear with instructions, though not overly friendly. He is a Chow breeder from Thailand. He seemed to like BIG heads on dogs and pretty heads on bitches. Other than that, I have no clue what he might have been looking for as there was little consistency in his awards. What was most distressing is that not only did he appear to not like judging Bostons, he was quite blatant in looking outside the ring rather than looking at the exhibits in HIS ring. I do not feel that he gave each dog a fair look and often didn't even bother watching the dog go around. Although I am owner/breeder of the WB/BOW, he is now on my DNS list due to his inability to even pretend he's interested in judging Bostons and failure to give everyone a fair look & evaluation.

Mr. Sangkunakup was pleasant in the ring although at times he seemed distracted looking at dogs outside of the ring. Didn't seem to favor handlers.

Soft hands, pleasant demeanor. Seemed to be lost on our breed, ended up placing all LARGE dogs, 17"+ dog for breed, 16"+ class bitch for BOS. Size was a concern, movement was not. All dogs within the standards size range were ignored.

He is very pleasant to show to, is great with puppies and "can" find a good dog, just would like him to be more consistant in what he does concerning type.

His first breed and love, he knows it well. As a long-time member of the parent club, he knows all the big kennels, handlers and breeders. He still goes for what he likes, and finds a good typy example to put up. Very pleasant with the dogs and the handlers. Very soft and gentle hand.

Always pleasant to show to and really enjoys the breeds and judging. He is very gentle and patient with the dogs. He knows his standards and always finds a nice honest dog. I think he gives equal billing to type and movement.

He was a fill-in for group and show. Went over every dog equally, seemed nice, great hands, smiled and seemed to really enjoy his assignments. |
