Very nice to show to. Didn't put up Pro Handlers in the ring except for BOB (but expected that).

Very kind judge to show to. Prefers to pick handlers but went the extra mile to give my OH dog an AOM. She was patient and friendly and made non-pros feel comfortable showing. Didn't pick them, but at least gave a good experience.

I've shown to her twice lately. She's absolutely delightful to talk to and great with puppies. However she is also very much a handler judge. If there aren't going to be handlers or if you only want a good experience for a novice, she's great. Otherwise, save your money

Judge Boutwell looks at side movement and very gentle with puppies. also, does cross-over if the dog is worthy of the title. Definitely will show to her again

This judge was clueless!! She put up a bitch for WB that was moving with a "hackney" front which is very incorrect. The BOB dog was a dog that was collapsing on his front when he moved, he was oversized. The select dog was the best moving, solid, great front and rear, nice substance, perfect topline, best overall entry. Will never show to this judge.

Has no clue what a correct dachshund is supposed to look like. Gave breed to a pet, bad movement, awful head, tiny bone and not even groomed over 2 very nice specials. I had 2 bitches in the ring and she picked the one with the worst head, and then gave her WB. She was just a filler! 3rd time under her, now on my DNS list. She has no clue what she is looking at in this breed. Put recently moved up champion with awful reach and drive up over 3 ranked specials. Gave all the top placements to the handlers. Specifically looked at everyone's face!

With many nationally known handlers to choose from she selected my puppy for a four point major. Was pretty pleased with most of her selections although in the breed ring I think she made decisions based on safe bets.

very pleasant to show to and tolerant of a bit of silliness from the dogs. seems to like a good moving dog within the size standard. Put up moderate sized dogs. In our breed, put up littermates for WD and WB and their dam for BOS. All placements except WB were shown by their owner/handlers over pros. Would definitely show to again.

I have shown under this judge twice now.. and have been very pleased with her picks both times. She picks solid dogs representing breed type regardless of handler or color. She does seem to really prefer the fawns, but I have never seen her put up one over a deserving brindle :) Seems to consistently pick from the open class. Likes typey dogs.

Very pleasant to show to. Likes bone and substance, and fluid side gait. Judges dogs.

Good judge. Seemed a little political to me. If there is a halfway decent male special, especially on a handler she will give breed to him over the bitch no matter what. May want to use a handler with her

Clueless about breed type. Political, only top handlers. Do not waste your money.

Very good judge. Small group to judge from but did give breed to owner/handler and there were pro handlers there. Knows what she likes and not afraid to put it up. Will show to again

Most definitely a face judge and made my DNS list on the first try (which is hard to make because I really do try to give a judge at least 2 tries). Not only did she obnoxiously ridicule me (and make me feel only about an inch tall) during my puppy bitch's first time in the AKC ring, she gave WB/BOS to a very lovely bitch who was Pro handled. Then, blatantly (and so everyone could hear) told her owner during pictures that she was given a gift and that there were plenty of nicer bitches in the ring that day. However, she had to give it to her Pros that day because "they pay her bills". Gee, what does my entry pay for then?

Willing to put up owner handlers gives the dog a good look over and put up sound typie animals. put up 12-18 for major points. would show to anytime, very pleasant and loves her job.

Over all I would say she is a good judge. She likes a sound dog, and extra hackney sure doesnt hurt her opinion. Good with puppies on the table

She succumbed to the charms of a handler who was schmoozing her while she examined the dog. She did look at the human end of the lead and did not seem very consistent.
May 7, 20084monestaMaltese
Fair Judge, put up consistent type..

Political. Didn't seem to care that winning dog had a poor rear. Head judge.
Aug 23, 20074WOW Pomz & Pinzvarious Toy BreedsExpert!
Always found her consistant and fair. I'd take her a moderate dog in every way that was clean moving with a good attitude. She didn't seem wow'd by the more overdone extremes we are beginning to see in some of the breeds.
Mar 17, 20074Woodwynd DalmatiansDals
Very consistent in her judging. Finished my foundation bitch and later her son. Ptd 2 grandsons and a great granddaughter. Prefers a smaller, petite bitch, but a larger obviously masculine dog. Not bothered by heavier markings.

Excused a dog because it had natural ears.

Most definitely knows her breeds; judges fairly and consitent.

Consistent, fair, judges dogs not leash holders, knows breed standards
