Excellent judge! Very gracious, kind lady. KNOWS good dogs and will put them up, regardless of who's handling. Will put up OH over top pros in group. Looks at movement, type.

I bought my first juniors Golden from Gloria when I was 12 and I have a deep respect and affection for her. She is very knowledgeable and has a sincerity for judging which is rare. There is absolutely no way she would award a handler just because they are a handler. Any suggestion that she would is ludicrous. I strongly agree with everyone who says she is kind and gentle; that is true. I was a bit surprised at some of her selections in Dachshunds recently -- I wonder sometimes if sporting judges are faulting anatomical features that appear in few other breeds (wrap-around fronts, for example).

DNS.DNS.DNS. Observed this judge across multiple breeds, and saw her unable to find the correct dogs in the ring at class and bob level. Unable to determine what she was looking for as all of her choices were inconsistent in movement and type. Seemed to want bitches over males. Dumped the dogs in bob who are often observed winning bob and getting group placements. Put up dogs who were not selected by other judges.

This lady was kind and seemed interested. She did an 'okay' job with her selections. Perhaps just needs some mentoring if she would accept it. I would try her again.

Very nice experience with Judge Kerr. She gave attention to the important hallmarks of our breed on the table exams, made her picks after watching movement carefully. I found her pleasant and had a soft touch.

Never again!!! She put up the worst fawn dog in the ring for WD and then gave it breed over some very nice specials and the only reason we could figure is because it was the biggest thing in her ring. It was a pet at best shown poorly by some buck tooth hillbilly. She has no idea of our standard or what a real Great Dane should be. She never considered any other color for her ribbons, all fawns. There should be a 0 on the scale but even that would have been to high of a ratings for this judge!

Showed to her at the Sunshine State Herding Group Association show but will never give her another entry as she does not exhibit any understanding of correct movement or structure in my Herding Breed. Her choices for BOB, BOS and Select Male all had incorrect movement verging on hackneying and the poor Select Male was horribly unbalanced. None of her choices would be identifiable if you looked at their outline. There were correct dogs in the ring but she could not find them.

The bad: Will put up the most Hairless thing in our breed no matter the structure. Doesn't seem to understand movement or structure at all. The Good: Doesn't care about handlers. what's sad is, she has my breed. On my DNS.

Very nice and pleasant. She will be the one to bring Your young dog to... Puppy will have great experience. However as for results of judging, I'm sorry, but total nonsense... I may suspect she will put less then average dog over few great specimens, if to her liking dog is presented better... Other that that I have no explanations to what just happened in our ring. We had big entry with several outstanding dogs... none of which was chosen. I can somewhat agree how she sorted specials, but totally disagree on the class dogs. Pretty mush she put the worst for the best and vs vs.

Gentle with the dogs and pleasant to exhibitors. Ring instructions are fairly straight forward. Her BOB had a terrible top line, badly toeing out in front ( kinda ok with Cardies but a no-no in Pems) , and was not a great mover. I swear I don’t know how/why she picked it except that it was dark red. One of only two shown by handlers. She named my bitch BOBOH and gave her a Select. So it’s not sour grapes just complete confusion about her BOB.

She is very pleasant to show to but put up the dogs with the worst rears in every class. She did not cross over a very deserving male over the female. I have shown to her multiple times with different breeds and she now firmly on my DNS list.

So disappointed in this judge. I guess if you're not showing against any of her friends or handlers of her friends you might be ok, that is as long as you have fawn, she doesn't look at color. With judges like these, it's no wonder our sport is dying. Sadly I have another judge I will NEVER show to again.

Found her a very fair judge in the ring. She judged on movement. Could sincerely appareciate her placements.

With due respect Ms. Kerr has been judges big breeds to long to understand the elegance or standard of the poodle she had to beautiful puppy bitch and dog in the ring and gave it to a poodle with no back skull and big eye and the movement was not elegant Granted both where still puppies , but they were the best she didn't even cross over the points to male puppy

I would not call her facy in our breed. She seemed to judge on structure and sound movement.

I am always amazed at this judge...occasionally in a good way, but mostly I wonder how she ended up with so many breeds. I watched a toy breed I have a keen interest in. It's supposed to be an elegant dog with a beautiful head with well defined stop. She put up for breed a clunky class male with a huge head and almost no stop. She had several lovely dogs to choose from and IMO she chose the worst (and I had no dog in this). In my sporting breed I will not give her an entry. She cant find type, but does seem to find her friends.

Will put up plain brindles!!!

Definitely on my DNS list! Does not know standards and will only pick handlers due to not knowing the standards. Do not know how she gets hired.

on my DNS list, I have showed to this judge several times and it's always the same thing, she looks up the lead. Not for owner handlers.

I stewarded for Ms. Kerr and observed her with several breeds including toy poodles, papillons, Japanese Chin, and others. She consistently awarded dogs that had good movement and type. She's kind & patient. She showed no preference for either pro or owner handlers. She gave all a fair shake and considered each dog.

This judge def looks up the lead to find her winner! She is will be on my DNS list. Will give the win to a handler, was very distracted by things outside the ring. Please read the standard.

She considered every dog carefully, I agreed with her choices as did judges in subsequent shows. I watched her the whole day and could see that she looks for type and movement and forgives a little bad handling up to a point. Everybody seemed impressed with her throughout the day.

Very pleasant judge & gentle on puppies. Very fair and appears to judge fairly. Did not put my dog up but put up an equally nice dog that performed better than my boy on that day. Provisional in boxers and did a fairly decent job. I will show to her again.

Also showed to Judge Kerr at the recent IABCA show. Enjoyed showing to her. She had a hard time deciding between the two Eskies present. I felt she was conscientious in her deliberations and was not displeased that I was placed second. So glad to hear she had just attended the breed seminar held at Eukenuba. She was definitely up on our breed. Judge Kerr was on the panel that awarded my dog a RBIS.

Just showed to her at the IABCA Int'l Shows and found her to be very pleasant to show to. Had just returned from a breed seminar given by our parent club and was excited to judge the breed.. Went over the dogs and seemed to know what she was looking for. Does like movement. Felt her to be knowledgable with the breed. Would show to her again...

Might be a handler judge. Showed to her with a single bitch entry and a major built in dogs - she gave it to a handler's puppy entered in BBE (looked grossly under-sized) and failed to give the crossover to our bitch who was more than worthy of a win regardless. I know I'm going to lose when the judge and a handler use the table as a social occasion.

SHOULD NOT JUDGE ITALIAN GREYHOUNDS. I had read up about her sporting dog abilities... and figured she would be a good movement judge. NOT. Clearly she does not care if a dog is sound or not. The worst moving IG I've ever seen was put up in West Texas in Feb. It is a toy so the rules don't apply? It is a sight hound... and MUST MOVE without toppling over!!! This judge is NOT okay with me; kennel clubs can hire her at their own risk.

Very pleasant to show to to & good with puppies. I agree with the first comment, Likes pretty & movement. Rewarded a lovely Liver Flat-coat. He went onto winning BIS making breed history for a liver.

She doesn't know the standard for my breed. Appeared to be a little afraid of them. Placed dogs based on color. She's on my DNS list.
Feb 24, 2010 | 5 | anonymous | Golden Retriever
Does a great job. Finds what she likes and doesn't care who is on the lead. Have seen her give a 5 point major to a novice handler with a very nice dog at a specialty.

If you want to win under her, regardless of the dog your showing, either spend an entire day hanging out with her and pretend you respect her opinions...LMAO...you will win!!!! On my DNS list.

seems to like a good solid sound dog. Doesnt have to be flashy. Wants good attitude as well. Just showed to her again this weekend, and everything I said before holds true. I just have to add that she is one of the best table judges I have ever shown to. VERY gentle and patient

Did Breed at the National. Did a good job...do not take her "overdone". Seemed to like "pretty" and movement. |
