Always picks friends and dogs lacking merit. I have followed his results in multiple breeds and multiple years. It continues to be the same. Absolutely on DNS list.

Has a good understanding of breed type and movement. Handler does not make a difference. Very pleasant to show to.

Was very disappointed watching this Judge. He was overly chatty with this one professional female Handler showing the Frenchie, he was walking down looking at the line up before choosing his Best of Breed. He stopped by this handler gave her a couple of nudges, then walked to the center of the ring and gave her Breed. Yes the dog deserved it, but come on be a little professional. The next day he was standing outside a ring, when a woman was walking out of the ring because she had came in 2nd, he grabbed her by the arm and told her he was a judge and she should of won

Great judge. Great guy. Very consistent from show to show. Wants a good topline with good sidegait. Very kind to newer exhibitors and to puppies.

Always enjoy showing to Rodney. Win or lose I usually can't complain about his choices. Hasn't ever seemed political to me.

Great Judge!! Knows his standard and judges the dog, not the other end of the lead. Very pleasant and makes it fun in the ring. He enjoys judging.

I like Mr Merry. He has given my puppy bred by bitch breed over specials twice, and I'm a nobody. So he's not always political, etc. he's very pleasant with kids from what I saw and awesome with puppies. He's very patient.

Very political and will give win to his friends. Judge will even tell other judges how to judge. Judge is very unpredictable. Do not waste your time or money with this judge.

appears to know his standards, looks at the whole package, then chooses the specimens good qualities....

Appears not to know standard. Someone must have told him that a "wavy" topline is OK.
