Timely ring procedure with a large entry, kept it professional, and was thorough on table evaluations. In a ring packed with quality and multiple ranked dogs; all of her picks were good dogs and a mix of OH and Handlers. Handlers were awarded B and OS in the end.

Not a judge I would show an inexperienced puppy to. At times it seems she is disinterested and definitely prefers Handlers.

Once again this judge put up an over-sized dog shown by a professional handler. Scotties breed standard is 18-22 pounds. BOB dog was at least 25% over. Why? Not sure who mentored this judge, but this is not our breed. In addition, the BOB dog had poor rear movement hoping around the ring. Could she not see this? Judge dogs on the day.

FACE JUDGE !!! 100%. She puts up the HANDLERS even if their dogs are not breed standard. Then critiques the handling job of the dog that should have been put up with ridiculous comments to justify her bad choices. Ridiculous and transparent. Told me that I should not move my dog so fast and that is her correct speed. Told another exhibitor she lost because the dogs rear legs were slightly forward in the final stacking. Had that poor girl, who is already not confident, apologizing for being such a horrible handler. Great one judge. Pick the right dog and then you don't have to knit pick the dog you should have put up apart to justify your bad decisions. I have tried this judge many times over the year and watched her in other breeds. Her ring procedures are the same. Pick the handler dog and then justify with criticizing the skills of the one you didn't put up. No more entries to this one.

Exhibitor beware! She futz's around with the bite until she makes the dogs upset. Scared of big dogs. Should not be judging the working group. DNS

Recently put up an absolutely hideous hound that looked like a different breed over correct entries--a judge was showing it, and I hope that's the reason she did this b/c if she thought she was putting up type, it's terrifying. Will never show to her again. She was very nice and pleasant, though.

i did not have the honor of showing to her this weekend but i watched her judge some breeds and a group- she is an awesome judge-ddoes not care who is on the end of the lead- judges dogs

Mrs. Meyer took her time on the table exam going over every detail of my class dog. She was pleasant but more importantly had gentle hands with all of the class dogs and bitches. Movement is number one with her but expression is a close second. She takes over on the table and does bite inspection herself. I can’t say I agree with all her choices but I can say she knows what she likes.

This judge humiliated me in the ring...Since then I do everything I can to NOT show a dog. I left the ring in tears, with a dog that is now scared to show. She ruined me and my dog. She demanded that I hold my dog how she wanted...and my dog was not aggressive at all...instead she was a little leary ...after her grabbing my dog by the scruff and telling me to do the same, off and back on the table, down and back...back on the table...all the while telling me I better grab the side of her neck and make her stand still. To clarify...my dog was not being that bad...she was alarmed at first and side stepped. As the judge continued making an example of myself and my dog...my dog turned from being slightly alarmed to terrified of the table. Good job Judge...She taught me not to respect all judges...especially her. In the moment I was trying so hard to please the judge...I now know that I can excuse myself and my dog.

Picked the worst dogs in her ring. DNS top of my list.

Put up a nice bitch who did not carry or hold her tail up, which is in our breed standard.

Quality Collies walked while pets were rewarded.

Observed her for two days judging several breeds and OH group... What to tell... I can not completely agree with what people saying "she is looking for movement" and "she is looking for well working dog". It was more like she was looking for "thee most animated dog". Handler might have nothing to do with that. Saw her putting up two entries today with handlers being totally off. One was a young girl with very young puppy. Girl lost a leash and dog ran away and misbehaved the rest of the ring time. She got a Breed. Another one was my own husband whose back was giving him hard time and he physically couldn't present dog well...pretty much he just walked behind and let my young bitch to do whatever.... However both dogs I mentioned were what we call "full of it" and she put those up. Same happened in OH terrier group. Forget of type, but dog has to be perky. Content well behaved and well shown dog with great breed type who is just slightly on a calmer side may not be her thing. Really not sure if I like it. But at list now I know what to take in her ring.

She’s great at finding all the top pros! Managed to cut all the pesky owner-handlers in group. Really tired of judges like her who are driving breeder owner handlers out of AKC. Will not waste my time or money again.

2021 update: watched her in several groups, was thoughtful and thorough - picks about the same as all the other judges, however she did give everyone ample time to shine. In breed she gave tips to OH and worked with newbies to get them to do the best by their dogs. interesting judge - you think she has written you off, but comes back and reevaluates and reconsiders if you and your dog are on top of your game. Always be showing, she may come back and point to you. I'd love to give her more entries to see how she sorts and places them. I think she may be a good one.

She is all over the board and likes smaller boned, small head dogs which are not in the standard for the breed.

I've now showed under Cindy twice now. Once with a very small entry and now with a larger entry. Shows nearly 5 years apart and I am happy to report that she is still a very consistent judge. Takes her time and places dogs according to our standard regardless of who is showing. Will be searching her out in the future!

She will generally do the right thing in the classes but absolutely places handlers in the breed ring. She just can't help it either, she'll give a nice loooong look and then goes with the pro. I have now taken her three different group winning dogs and she couldn't give any breed over the handled dogs but they went on to get multiple BOB's in the days before and following showing to her. I would take Her a nice class dog but forget my specials (because I am not a face) despite the fact that she gave one of my dogs BOW over the same specials that now Have handlers on them and she gives breed to. We win way more than our fair share so I am not sour but I see her strategy and had thought she was above it.

Not sure what she's looking for in Lakelands. Last year she dumped my BISS bitch special in the middle of a cluster where the other judges were giving her Group 1s. Maybe thought she was too small? This weekend I had the complete entry, 2 littermates who had just turned one year old. Mrs. Meyer seemed unenthusiastic about judging puppies. She was a little impatient with the puppies and impatient with me when I couldn't hear her instructions. She put up my BBE girl (larger, better behaved, but not as typey as her sister)

She spent a fair amount of time on each dog, great judge for owner handlers- patient! Knows her breed standards, will show to again!Movement, movement, movement!
Aug 9, 20141redstaffieSBT
wow - she completely dumped a young promising male who previously won 5 point and 3 point majors at specialties from long time breeder judges to pet quality poorly structured and incorrect temperamented entries.

Movement judge...very consistent
Mar 5, 20142DgpawFox terrier
DNS! Extremely slow, appears she doesn't know what she is looking at. Looks for faces!
Jan 28, 20145AnonymousWorking Dogs
Likes movement, movement, movement. Will take it 100% over type. She will put up a deserving puppy. She takes her time and really looks at the dogs. She put up an owner/handler for BOB over many top handlers because the dog moved well. I would show to her again any day.
Feb 18, 20132AndreaBoxer
She was looking for familiar faces. DNS
Oct 19, 20105Crystal StockBoxer
Cannot comment on handler preference as there were no handlers at this show. She did however award my very deserving class dog BOB over a nice special. She was patient and gentle with the dogs and seemed to award good movement. Has a good knowledge of the breed and awarded accordingly. Put a very nice plain dog up for RWD.
Jul 5, 20092AnonTerriers
Put up a pet with a well known handler. On my DNS now.
Feb 8, 20094Anonymousworking breeds
Wants a good topline. LIkes to see a good mover and side gait is especially important. Did not see the handler preference previously mentioned.
Feb 1, 20094Carri J Lindblom BorischseveralExpert!
She judges the dogs. Likes full dentition on all dogs. Likes a nice side gait. SHe will put up an O/H over a pro if the O/H has the better dog and it was presented in a manner which showed it was the best dog. Nice person to work with.
Jul 7, 20082anonymousSiberian HuskyExpert!
This judge obviously knows a good dog but will not put them up over her favorite handlers. She, in fact, will put up a crappy dog with her favorite handlers and then give the best dogs in the ring reserve.
