Small show, and I found her to be gentle, careful, and calm. She values movement and watched closely.

Won't look at anything accept wildboar in the ring. It was blatantly obvious. On my DNS list for anything but wildboar.

First time I have shown to her. Clear directions, unhurried but efficient, patient and pleasant with dogs and exhibitors. Put the WB to BV over a special - definitely a deserved win. Asks exhibitor to show bite; for first dog in class, asks to see bite first, then set up dog. I hope she will be judging my breed at future shows in my area. For the record - my Long dog, alone in his class, got no further award. My smooth bitch, only entry, got OH-3.

Sharon A Krogh, I found to be very nice to puppy's , she likes movement . Yes she put up my bitch and it wasn't for her coat , she is lacking, but she is very very pretty and has movement to die for .

As the previous posts said, she is consistent but not in a good way. She consistently picked the worst moving dogs in the ring. This judge has a poor concept of what makes a good Siberian. Looks like she is looking at type with no regard for movement. Movement is the essence of what makes a good Siberian. She needs to study structure and movement to properly judge moving breeds.

Found her to be consistent with her picks, gentle with the dogs, and not political at all. Would show to again.

I agree with the reviewer who said Mrs. Krogh chose consistently and seemed to prefer mid-sized, somewhat refined Boston Terriers with solid movement. What impressed me was her willingness to work with my partner -- a relatively new exhibitor who wants to get this right -- to improve his handling technique. We've found it challenging to find judges willing to offer constructive criticism -- most seem to think you're really asking why you lost.

Picked consistently and seems to prefer midsized Bostons.

I believe this judge was fair and extremely patient and kind to the dogs in her ring. I always appreciate a judge who actually looks at the dog....not the person on the end of the leash. Don't hesitate to take young dogs to this judge.

Does not know the standard in either of my breeds. Does not know good movement. Does not appear to be political but apparently doesn't care enough about these breeds to learn the standard. Sad. DNS

Took obvious delight in dumping ranked specials to the 9-12 mos WD & WB who were at best average exmples of the breed

Even if she loves your dog she won't put it up if it's not "acting like a show dog."

Win or Lose she will usually always get an entry from me. She loves min pins and does prefer them closer to the top of the standard. Loves a nice Black & Rust. In IG's...I have won under her and lost under her, I would like to see her do some mentoring under a good IG breeder as I feel she could use a little more education on the breed.

Gave RWD to my dog but marked judge's papers incorrectly. Even with the ribbons as evidence, she would not overturn her decision when contacted by the showing club. It had to be corrected by the AKC. Disappointing.

I have ring steward for her in the past. I found her Very nice to novice handlers. She really did look at the dogs only & on several occasions put up class dogs for breed over a special if she thought it was a better dog. If she ever judges my breeds, I'll be happy to show to her.

In 22 years, I have never won under her...with any breed or any dog I have taken her. Even when she has awarded the same dog with a different handler on the lead. Not sure why, but with games like that, I can spend my $25 somewhere else. I have noticed that if you are from Oregon, you will win before someone from somewhere else will. And neither she nor her husband mind if you follow them clear across the country, they do like their home folks.

She does not play politics in the Breed ring at all. She loves this breed and looks for what SHE thinks is the best in the ring on that day. However, she does like a nice black and if there is one in the ring will use it even if there are better reds there. She likes a larger dog usually towards the top of the standard

Knows a good dog and is looking at the total package. I have not seen her look up the lead...she is busy watching the dogs and trying to find the best one on the day. I don't feel she enjoys judging like she once did and her recent choices and ring demeanor reflect just that.

Does not look at other end of leash. Looks for best dog and likes to find a nice one. |
