I was dubious when I saw he would be judging NOHS Terrier Group, as he's definitely not a terrier guy. Very pleasantly surprised (Yes, we placed.) He took his time, moved all of us twice. 1st went to a fabulous Aussie, 2nd to my baby, 3rd&4th to 2 dogs I admire. Slow, methodical & soft-spoken. You need to pay attention to understand what he wants.

I have shown to Dr.Indeglia at the advice of my mentors in hounds on many occasions. I have taken quality dogs to him; however, he has overlooked my dogs in deference to handlers. I plan not to show to him again. |

He judged a specialty recently for our breed. He's extremely pleasant. He seems to like good movement. One frustration is that he was counting teeth and our breed does not require counting teeth. He was facy. |

Watched him judge several sporting breeds today. Thought he did a good job. Seemed to enjoy what he was doing and picked what I would have picked (I had nothing showing). Seemed to really assess structure, especially shoulder and front assembly and watch movement. Update a few months later--stewarded for him and once again, he picked virtually everything I'd have picked. One person in one breed with a lot of entries won almost everything, BUT I also noticed she knew what he liked and everything she entered was the same type. In one of the breeds I know very well, he picked everything I would have picked--absolutely no politics at work--the reverse actually. Also very pleasant to every one, even though I think his back was bothering him. Seemed very reluctant to put class entries up over specials but did do it a couple of times. Update: showed to this judge today, several months after stewarding for him. He did a fabulous job with our breed and I would say movement and structure were at the top of his list. He forgave less than perfect showmanship if he liked the entry. Very thorough exam of every entry and very attentive when dogs were gaiting. Repeated down and backs when making final decisions. I also think he really knew breed type in our hound breed. No pro's or judges showing in our breed. There were pro's and judges in another breed, and it did look like the status of the handler might have had an effect on some placements. I still think he's a great judge. |

It wasn't that my dog didn't win under him. But it was that he IGNORED my dog in the ring. He joins the elite society of judges that have not considered my dog for breed. I would not cross the street to exhibit to this man. |

I've stopped giving this judge entries. He has good ring procedure and is gentle with newbies and puppies but time and time again he has proven that he looks for faces and friends and doesn't judge dogs. I honestly can't tell if he knows a good dog or not but he does love "his" people. |

Very consistent based upon the large entry. Likes a heavy bigger dog with clean though upright movement. In my opinion he leaned towards coarse in every aspect.
Speaks very quietly but is nice enough. Leaned heavily on my bitch during the exam. She is solid but it was a bit much. |

Was very impressed how gentle but thorough this judge was with all dogs, especially beginners. As I only the only entry I sat and watched him judge the balance of his assignment for the day. He was consistent in his placements. He seemed to look for movement and a dog not too small or too large. He also seemed to like a more compact dog. |

Very nice man, enjoyed showing to him. As an OH he seemed fair in his picks. I would show to him again.**update** showed to Dr. Indeglia again this past weekend. He gave my brindle boy wd for a major (owner handled with some of the top pros in the ring) and a brindle bitch with a very similar ped wb for the major. very consistent in his choices. |

2013--Not sure what has happened to this judge, he used to be fair and put up according to the standard but has now changed to be extremely political!! Puts up handlers no matter what quality of dog they have. If you have for any reason ticked him off in the past, he will be sure that you know it. You can tell who he likes just by watching his face.
2017--Stand by previous comments-I think he needs to retire, looked at faces and not dogs structure. |

My breed calls for a high-set ear, size in proportion to the head, dark almond eye, parallel plains, no pink showing in the tight-lipped mouth. This judge put up a dog with VERY wide-set ears, huge VERY round eyes, a stop a Dane would be proud of, and a pink mouth with heavy flews...and proceeded to explain that he used the dog because it had a lovely head and informed long-time breeders (20+ years) that THEY were wrong in thinking the head was faulty. I watched him judge many other breeds, and found that he consistently put up the coarsest dogs/bitches. On the upside, he is a very pleasant man, seems to enjoy his time in the ring. I would take a puppy to him that needed ring experience. I would not spend my money on him beyond that. |

This judge is thoughtful, thorough, gentle with the dogs, and soft-spoken. In addition to experiencing his kees judging, I watched him do several breeds and groups over a 4-day show. He's got a good eye, and seems to give not a whit to the wrong end of the lead. Definitely worth showing to. |

In his debut in the collie ring I don't have a clue what he was doing, especially in the classes. |

Seemed to greatly enjoy what he was doing. Rewarded the dogs he liked without regard to who was handling them. |

Put up my owner-handled, lovely moving Special (a dog of color) for Breed; also gave him RWD as a puppy from the classes. |

Knows what he wants, quick efficient ring procedures. Wants a well behaved exhibit. Put up with puppy antics but did not put them up. Show Happy again. |

Enjoyed showing for this judge. No nonsense and not very talkative but knows the breed. Put up a lot of brindles. |

Wasn't impressed with his choices. In the ring he was very grim and stiff, spoke quietly only to the first person leaving the rest of us to "divine" what he was asking us to do. |

Very political in judging - looks at the wrong end of the lead. don't bother unless you have your dog on a well known handler |

In greyhounds, he seems to go for flash & dash. Not impressed with his choices which included poor movement, short bodies, etc. |

Likes a good moving dog, doesn't mind how showy he/she is. WILL put up a black/white Whippet!!! Seems not to mind the 'odd' colors like black/white and black brindle/white. |
