117577Mr. Gregory Griner5None11Apr 20, 2026Great Dane BOH
Wonderful with young puppies who need a little extra help. Not afraid to put up what he likes regardless of who is on the other end of the lead! Willing to put up any color as long as it is correct to the standard.
29739Mrs. Patricia Nemirovsky De Alsina p Bio53.142211Apr 17, 2026KeeshondMudpuppy
She is delightful to show to, and has a good eye.
99891Mr. Philip John13.0021Apr 13, 2026KeeshondenCoxswain Keeshonden
This man is the SLOWEST judge I have ever seen. By the time he finished with the breeds ahead of us, he was over an hour late. I have no opinion on his judging of other breeds, but he failed badly with the Keeshonden. In an Open Bitch class of three girls, he had two nice ones and a badly-built girl with clear alopecia on her thighs. The Alopecia girl got the win. Just not tolerable. DNS for me!
36690Mrs. Carrie A. Chase p23.0021Apr 12, 2026Herding BreedAnonymous
Just one week after recommending her to a show chair looking for a judge as someone who understands correct structure and movement in my breed, she proved me wrong.
17411Ms. Edweena (Teddy) McDowell p12.86159Apr 8, 2026Herding Breed (Low Entry)Anonymous
Have to agree with the earlier comment regarding that she cannot recognize a correct front and movement. Correct movement in my breed is key and she completely missed it. Although I have been showing for about 10 years this is my first time encountering her as a judge and it will most likely be my last time showing to her.
6219Mrs. Cathy H. Daugherty p12.242516Apr 6, 2026Low Entry Herding BreedAnonymous
Made very unprofessional and unnessasary comments about a newly approved judge that was judging our breed. The new judge was being very thorough and doing what she should have been doing. I have entered my dogs under Ms. Daugherty many times in the past and have found her to be somewhat volatile in her judging. Her recent behavior has made me unlikely to enter under her in the future.
6176Mr. Gary L. Andersen p Web12.803619Mar 30, 2026TheNoseKnows
Anyone but pros or friends need not show. Made dogs uncomfortable on the table, could not follow choices other than if you look up the lead. Then the choices all make sense.
101522TINA LEININGER13.0022Mar 22, 2026WorkingExpert
Terrible picks. Needs to go back to judges Education.
25447Mr. David L. Anthony p23.18127Mar 12, 2026Herding Breed (Low Entry)Anonymous
In the past I would look to enter under him, but no longer. He was always political in the Group, but now he does not seem to recognize the most correct dogs in the breed.
57263Mr. Richard D. Albee p53.64126Feb 23, 2026Rhodesian RidgebacksJayMee
Mr. Albee was a careful, thorough judge who clearly knows our breed standard. He was gentle to the dogs, and patient. He found all of the best of the breed in the ring, and watched every Ridgeback from start to finish.
379Mr. Jon R. Cole p Bio512.7515871Jan 5, 2026Nor ElkAnonyous
I don't understand all the neg comments. Put up my dog for breed, over larger names and handlers. The dog however, did enter the ring on one of his "I own this one" days...I think Jon picked up on that. Have stewarded for him, great to stewards.
55062Mr. Robert Schwalbe p22.4384Jan 5, 2026norwich terrierACV
He had a large entry in Norwich. He was provisional in this breed. His winners dog and winners bitch selections were so different than his BoB pick. He did not bother to look at the non-pro's dog as it went around the ring, but made an effort to look at the pro. Handlers' dogs. He is on my DNS list.
17972Mrs. Julie Felten p41.821210Dec 22, 2025CairnE Smith
Very sweet to first time in the ring puppy. Gentle, Watched for a second time, but not entered. Gentle, did pick the best for each class, and split the point for the BW, was a toss up. Sociable when seen at other dog events not including shows. I found her judging excellent, and did know the standard, vs other reviews who disagree.
26854Mr. Frank Kane23.6742Dec 17, 2025Chesapeake Bay RetrieversAnon
With the exception of BOB, BOW, and a 1 or 2 other dogs, Mr. Kane selected the dogs with the worst breed type. Some examples of his choices were straight and/or short upper arms, poor coats, lacking rear angulation, no spring of rib, incorrect Labrador style heads, a dog with no tuck up, dogs lacking reach and drive, and bad fronts, unbalanced, one was undersized. Some of the winners had never previously beat other more correct dogs in the ring over the past year, and defeated those dogs for the first time ever. He also demonstrated color bias. It doesn't seem like he knows the standard well. I was in the ribbons as one of the winners, so this isn't a rating coming from not winning.
3850Mrs. Donna J. Buxton p12.797239Dec 11, 2025Canaan DogsHerding Breed Owners
She judged an entry of 5 which is a large entry for a low-entry breed. It was as though she decided to pick the 2 dogs least representative of the breed for BOB and BOS. Those 2 dogs were at completely opposite extremes and looked nothing like each other or the other 3 dogs entered. The only commonality in her top picks was incorrect movement.
5444Mrs. Lesley E. Hiltz p Bio Web3.294523Dec 10, 2025HerdingHidden
Going on my dns list. Watched her judge multiple breeds and whenever there's a handler in the ring nothing else gets a look. Went in with my own herding breed and she dropped everything that was worth a look to put a class bitch up over quality specials because a big handler had the lead. Seems to find the right dog in the ring when there aren't any handlers but the blatant politics has me adding DNS behind her name
91600Neil T. McDevitt3.6765Dec 6, 2025Vizsla Deb
He had already decided his placements before dogs came in, could not be bothered to give the courtesy of watching all of the dogs go around. Turned his back to the dog and handler before they had even taken 2 steps to go around after the down and back. He clearly liked the next dog in the line up better as he gave that dog a thorough exam and actually paid attention to that dog for the down and back and go around. Did the same treatment to a few other dogs in the ring
5724Mr. Charles L. Olvis p53.1012563Nov 16, 2025Keeshond Mudpuppy
Efficient, kind, knows what he likes and puts it up. I LIKED showing to him!
6689Ms. Elizabeth Muthard p12.5910150Nov 16, 2025Keeshond Mudpuppy
She LITERALLY put up the first dog in the ring in every class, and in the breed ring...It just so happened that the (owner handled) best of the male specials was first in line, in front of the pro-handled one that has been doing a lot of winning, but I actually predicted all of her selections as they walked into the ring by simply picking where they were in the lineup. OMG, if you don't care enough to actually pay attention, stop judging! I will certainly never waste my money again showing to her.
5362Mrs. Charlotte P. Patterson p3.018134Nov 10, 2025Border TerriersCameron Russo
I had the displeasure of having Ms. Patterson judge our breed today. Watching the many breeds before us she continuously looked outside the ring and seemed like she was not watching the dogs she was judging. I was first in line when our breed went in. There were 4 BT's total...all specials...2 dogs, 2 bitches. When I did the down-and-back, my dog turned a bit to the right as we got to the end. Ms. Patterson looked at me with a sneer and said, "You're supposed to show the judge your dog's FACE, not his side!" I apologized and responded, "I planned to but he turned at the end and I didn't want to spin him around". She then pointed to the corner of the ring and said, "Go stand over there". As others have commented, she feels she needs to school owner-handlers. At the end, she awarded the bitch with the pro handler the breed, gave the other bitch BOS & BOBOH, gave the other dog SELECT, and my dog nothing. The steward motioned for me to leave the ring but I said I was the SELECT dog. She looked confused so I said, "The judge awarded BOB to a bitch, not a dog". The steward looked and said I was correct. She discussed it with Ms. Patterson, who looked at me a bit angrily. Then the lineup was corrected to the bitch handled by one of the pro's as BOB, the 2nd pro's dog as BOS, then my dog as SEL Dog and the other owner-handler's bitch as SEL Bitch. When we got out of the ring my wife said that the handler who was awarded BOB was wearing the wrong armband...he had #11 on which as we know is a male's number but happened to be the number for his male special that he pulled today in favor of his bitch special. Perhaps that confused Ms. Patterson but she should have known when examining the dog that it was a bitch. I went back over to explain to the steward that the handler had been wearing the wrong number and Ms. Patterson stopped the exam she was doing on a dog in the next breed to come over and made a mad face when she saw me there and said loudly, "What's the PROBLEM here?" I said, "It's been resolved" and then the steward explained to her the confusion with the handler and the wrong number. Now what I didn't ask about was that the owner of the Select Bitch that had been given the BOBOH ribbbon should have been called back and the judge then choosing between her bitch and my dog as BOBOH because neither of us had beaten the other but by then I just wanted to leave the ring. WE thought about talking to the AKC Rep about Ms. Patterson's confusion about the BOB award but thought it wouldn't matter.
5430Mr. William F. Potter II p Bio2.272211Nov 9, 2025Dachshund lbtrimble
Found him to be polite and soft hands with my dogs. Felt he looked at the dog and not who was on the end of the lead. Will show to him again. Felt he at least knew the AKC Dachshund Standard. So many judges these days don’t and will put up anything that just looks “pretty”. We are losing our rears in our breed amongst other things. We desperately need more Dachshund judges. Regardless, I will show to him again
6054Ms. Louise Palarik p22.0084Nov 9, 2025Dachshund
Watched her at a very large show. She took her time and examined each dog but apparently doesn’t know the AKC Dachshund Standard. She put up several in each variety with tails like beagles. There were some very nice dogs in each class but as a provisional I think she needs to study the standard more closely.

No super impressed, though she is provisional in poms. Hard to determine what she is looking for
16761Mr. Del Richards p12.444126Nov 5, 2025Dachshund Anonymous
Watched this judge tell an owner 3 times to take their dog down and back because the dog was not walking correctly. After the 3rd time I guess he got what he wanted and awarded it WB Didn’t ask anyone else to take their dogs down and back so it was obvious he made up his mind but had to get what he wanted from the dog first.
113363Mr. Zhida Duan5None33Nov 4, 2025Long Hair Dachshund lbtrimble
This judge did a thorough examination on the table, watched the down and back and then followed the dogs around the ring watching their movement. He looked at the dog only and not who was on the end of the lead. Will definitely show to him if given the opportunity again.

She pretends to be a sparring expert, but not when her friends are in the ring. Observed on many occasions timid dogs being sneaked treats by handlers during a spar to get their tails up as she watched. A proper spar does not matter when her friends are in the ring.
90627Ms. Amy Gau p13.00147Oct 29, 2025Herding Breed (Low Entry)Anonymous
Spent a great deal of time looking at 2 of the 4 entries, only to award BOB to a dog that lacked breed type (it had a hound-like head, insufficient coat, poor front). We had already entered another show where she was scheduled to judge the breed, but we pulled our entries as she will never get another entry from us.
63187Ms. Ann H. Roth p13.382112Oct 14, 2025SportingBreed Expert
I've watched this judge many times over the years, in many breeds and Groups. Typically puts up friends and pro handlers. Utterly no idea how to judge movement at all. Not looking for correct breed type either. In Hound group, Roth will usually put up one of the Beagles (her breed) or Foxhounds.
6863Mrs. Sherry C. Webster3.0054Sep 29, 2025Japanese ChinTonia Perry
Judge Webster was absolutely fantastic with our group of young Chin this weekend! If you have a timid puppy or adult, I can't recommend her more. She was very gentle with all the dogs. She did not look at who was holding the lead when she made her selections.
7084Ms. Victoria M. Jordan p Bio Web12.502214Sep 28, 2025Workinganonymous
I would not recommend this judge to anyone. Ms Jordan was over an hour behind judging a show with VERY low entries. She said some very odd things to exhibitors in the ring. She made handlers move dogs over and over despite an entry of 6 total, as though she couldn't remember one minute to the next. Several exhibitors/ handlers remarked once outside the ring, that she seemed mentally impaired. She clearly should retire.
63187Ms. Ann H. Roth p23.382112Sep 11, 2025HoundsAnonymous
Judge like sculpted dogs, groomed to the max, and good presentation but did not reward movement. Dogs that were rewarded were not the best representation of the breeds that I observed.
35060Ms. Patricia Taylor p Bio54.4374Sep 1, 2025Chinese Crestedbreeding stock evaluator
Witnessed her give a crossover major to a non example of the breed as a favor to another judge to finish her dog that had been trying to finish for 8 years. Future exhibitors should know what they are paying for.

Good with 4-6 month puppies. Gentle hands.
5170Mrs. Nancy Liebes p53.135230Aug 22, 2025ToysAnon
Have seen her outside the ring chatting with buddies, and then of course, giving them breed when they show their dog to her. There’s no breeding stock being judged in her ring in my experiences. Save an entry.
5724Mr. Charles L. Olvis p13.1012563Aug 15, 2025ChowsRockland
Strange antics in the ring, waving arms and gestures during evaluation/judging, which was cursory at best. It was obvious that he had made his choices {known exhibitor and handler} while he was checking the numbers. The judging would almost be considered a farce.
27485Ms. Jocelyne Gagne p53.33124Aug 11, 2025WorkingBOH
Did a good job this past weekend with a small entry. Good procedure and very kind in the ring.

This judge likes movement. He knows our standard, and took his time. Not political.
31708Mr. Harold Red Tatro III p23.331811Jul 27, 2025Cairn TerrierChrissy
First novice dog in AM bred, Being a slight bit bad on my feet, I tapped the table and it moved as I put my dog up, He made the motions of judging the dog, was a little rough on his exam, you can feel top line without actually pressing Hard on the dog., and check muscle tone without squeezing the bejeebes out of the sides and legs. As he is marking his book, he said something to the handler waiting with his dog outside the ring, they both had a laugh at my expense. Disrespectful ! On second class he did his placements (different than judge the day before, but then equal confirmation, to each his own). For WD, he withheld points, without explanation. The entry had 2 dogs both with 2-4pt majors each, under 4 different judges. These were not poor quality dogs. 3 are imports. To each his own. Disrespect is poor manors. Mama should have taught him better.
