Initial Breed: Dachshunds [Thomas Henry]

Sandy has bred and owned Dachshunds (Miniature Long and Smooth and now Standard Smooth) since 1974 first under the Longjohn prefix and presently under Thomashenry. Their Dachshunds have been Best in Show winners and Best In Specialty show winners and have placed number one in the breed and in the top five many times. She and husband Thomas (see below) bred and own the only Miniature Longhaired Dachshund to win Reserve Best In Show in Canada. They pursue Earthdog titles on their Dachshunds. They have also produced many top winning BIS GSP’s as well as the youngest German Shorthair Pointer to finish in the USA. Sandy has also owned and/or bred top five ranking multi- BIS, BISS Pembroke Welsh Corgi’s and a BIS Miniature Poodle. She bred multi- BIS winning Siberian Huskies, has owned Chows in the past and currently Labrador Retrievers. She is a grooming salon owner by trade and handled professionally for 25 years. Sandy is licensed by the CKC to judge all Hound breeds, Herding breeds and is on permit for half of the Working breeds and some Terriers. She has judged in Canada, the USA, and Australia.
