Judge's Background & History

Ms. Christine Cameron
Home: Lebanon, OR
Initial Breed: Chow Chows

I began showing dogs at the age of 11 which gives me over 50 years. My first dog was a German Shepherd which I showed in both Obedience and Conformation. I exhibited GSD for 20 years. When my ankles and knees gave out and I couldn't do all the running I switched to Chows and have been showing them since 1976. I have bred and/or owned over 40 Champions. In 1992 I was approved by AKC for my first breed and as of this date, I am approved for 17 breeds: 10 Non-Sporting and 7 Herding, as well as Junior Showmanship. As of 2010 I am provisional for Dals, Shibas, Australian Cattle Dogs and Beardies. Also I am an ASCA judge. In 2007 I judged the Chow National in Italy and in 2003 I judged the Chow National in Australia. I have also judged several times in Canada. I have also judged for UKC, IABCA and ARBA. When I am not judging I enjoy showing my own Chows, ring stewarding or just attending a show to enjoy the people, dogs and to learn about new breeds.
