Judge's Background & History

Mr. Kenneth Tippie
Home: Studio City, CA

I am originally from Ohio and grew up with dogs. My father had a few beagles and we had a Cocker Spaniel as our pet. I got my first show dog in the late 70s. It was an Afghan Hound, who completed his championship at the National Specialty. We bred under the ‘Sebring’ prefix and also dabbled with some Wire Fox Terriers. Most of our champions were breeder/owner-handled and received their titles predominantly from the Bred by Exhibitor class. In approximately 1989 I applied and received my license to judge Afghan Hounds to expand my involvement in the sport of dogs. My plan is to continue learning about and judging dogs. Currently I judge eight hound breeds and hope to apply for more soon.
