Initial Breed: Doberman Pinschers

Bonnie purchased her first Doberman Pinscher at 8 weeks of age, then a Whippet in 1972. Until 1988, there were always at least five Dobermans and five Whippets, plus a Burmese and Tonkinese cat in residence. Also raised a Champion male Rottweiler. With a very limited breeding program, owned three BIS Doberman Pinschers and one BIS Whippet. In 1972, she became an AKC Limited License Handler for 42 breeds. In 1982, applied for approval to judge Doberman Pinschers and Whippets. In 1997, accepted a position with the American Kennel Club as Assistant Director of Judging Operations in Raleigh, NC. Bonnie returned to judging in 1999, and is currently approved to judge the AKC Working Group, the Hound Group, the Sporting Group, 11 Toy breeds (Brussels Griffons, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Chinese Cresteds, Italian Greyhounds, Japanese Chin, Miniature Pinschers, Papillons, Pomeranians, Poodles (Toy), Pugs) and BIS.
