Judge's Background & History

Mr. Stan A. Zielinski
Home: Auburn, WA
Initial Breed: St. Bernards

My wife and I are deeply involved in the Sport of Purebred Dogs; we have bred and exhibited Saint Bernards from our kennel in Auburn, Washington since 1965. We take satisfaction in having produced over 150 AKC champions and about 40 Obedience title holders. We are both judges for the American Kennel Club, and we have judged extensively. Our judging has taken us all over this country and to many other countries, both on this continent and overseas. I have written a book about Saint Bernards (Saint Bernards From The Stoan Perspective) and it was published just a few years back by Alpine Press in Colorado. We are founding members of an all-breed club (Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers); a group club (Mount Rainier Working Dog Club) and a dog judge education organization (Judges Education Association of Washington – which is now temporarily inactive.) I have been very active in the Saint Bernard Club of America -- I have served multiple terms as President, plus a couple of terms each for the positions of Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Western Section Governor. I have had the honor of judging the SBCA National Specialty 3 times. I was allowed to be a part of producing our Saint Bernard Club of America’s “Illustrated Commentary.” A few years back our parent club (SBCA) conferred a lifetime membership upon me.
