Initial Breed: Great Danes

I grew up with Great Danes starting with Hazel Mage of the original Laurado Kennels when I was 12 years old, which gives me 45 years in dogs. The original kennel produced over 50 champion Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds including several Danes that were Best In Show / Specialty winners and top winners in the US and Canada. My own breeding has added 20+ more Dane champions - most of them owner-handled. I've written various dog related articles for breed magazines and newspapers. All 3 of my daughters were Junior Handlers and, now that the kids are grown, I am getting around to judging assignments. I've judged Danes all over the country for years but feel I finally now have time to go for the rest of the Working Group.
