Initial Breed: Irish Setters [Kian]

I am a retired Health Care Administrator who has been showing and training dogs since 1965, when I obtained my first Irish Setter. Since then my husband and I have shared our home with Irish Setters and a number of different breeds including Cairn Terriers, Boxers, Doberman Pinschers, a Great Dane, Afghan Hound and a Tibetan Mastiff.

For many years under the prefix KIAN, we raised Irish Setters and Cairn Terriers and exhibited them to Championships, Group, Specialty and Best in Show wins. Several of our Cairn Terriers have been awarded Top Show Dog awards. I have also gained many Obedience titles with our Irish Setters. I am currently serving my third term as a Director of the Canadian Kennel Club and serve on Judges Education and Responsible Dog ownership Committees

I began judging in 1993 and have been privileged to judge at All Breed and Specialty shows in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Finland, Indonesia, Ireland, Korea, Malaysia, South Africa, Sweden and Thailand, as well as throughout Canada and the USA.
