Diane was born in the USA. After earning a Masters Degree in Education, she married and moved to Scandinavia where she lived for over 20 years. She got her first Old English Sheepdog in Sweden in 1969. Since then, she has owned, bred and shown all her OES to champions under the prefix, Likeabear. One of her International Champions was 3rd top dog, all breeds in Norway. The Likeabear lines have produced many champions throughout Scandinavia and Ch Likeabear Attention Please has sired champions in Australia from frozen semen. She has been an FCI judge since 1975. She judges over 160 breeds, several groups and Best In Show. She is also currently licensed by the American Kennel Club for several breeds. She has judged at championship level all over the world including: Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, Germany, Iceland, India, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and USA. Diane has served in various capacities in the Norwegian Kennel Club and formulated the first official standards for various breeds. She is an Honorary Member of the Norwegian Old English Sheepdog Club and has been a member of the American OES Club for over 30 years. She has contributed to various publications and edited the first OES handbook in Norway. She judged the 2006 OES Canadian National Speciality and is judge elect for the 2008 OES National.
