Initial Breed: Min Poodles

I started exhibiting and then breeding dogs in the sixties with Miniature Poodles. I then went into Schipperkes, having won several Best In Shows with that breed. On into the seventies I ventured into a career of being a full time Professional All Breed Handler. I exhibited many of Canada’s top winning dogs and became known for my talent with the breeds that were high maintenance hair breeds, such as Afghans and Standard Poodles, having won hundreds of Best In Shows with these breeds. I retired from handling at the end of 1996 to pursue a career in judging but continued to exhibit and breed several top winning Standard Poodles under the prefix of Averina and Crystalton. Today I am still active with the breeding but don’t show as much as my time is now taken up more with my judging. I am now working on my last group to become an all breed judge.
