Keke Kahn has been in dogs her entire life, with a Boston Terrier, an ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, two German Shepherds — all trained in obedience — and a Pekingese helping her through her childhood years. As an adult she discovered Lhasa Apsos, which became her life's passion. She bred and showed 58 champions under her Potala prefix, including six all-breed Best in Show winners and back-to-back Best in Shows by her homebred bitch at Lhasa Apso national specialties. Mrs. Kahn started judging in 1972 and today is one of a handful of judges licensed for all breeds.
